  • All of these positions are roughly half-time positions, but we are willing (and would prefer) to combine two positions into one full-time position.     For all positions you must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be an enthusiastic team player, yet able to work independently. As we are fully computerized, you must have strong computer skills. Most importantly, you enjoy providing an exceptional experience for our patients. Previous experience will be given consideration, but finding a good fit for our team with the right attitude is more important as we are willing to train.

    Optometric Assistant (Administration)

    As an important member of the patient care team, you are responsible for maintaining the seamless running of the practice for all involved, providing assurance to the Optometrist that things are running smoothly and providing patients with a contact for any concerns. Your flawless and accurate record keeping will provide a high level of confidence to the other team members allowing them to focus on their roles.

    Optometric Assistant (Contact Lens Technician) You know contact lenses. As someone well trained in the area of contact lenses, the Optometrist can count on you to educate and train patients in the use and care of contact lenses and to advise the Optometrist of concerns they may have in regards to the patient's wearing/use of contact lenses.

    This individual in this position obtains all the preliminary information & testing the Optometrist requires to provide the patient with comprehensive eye health care, while ensuring the patient is made aware that all the required information is made available to the doctor all while putting the patient at ease.

    Optometric Assistant (General Position)

    The overall responsibility of an Optometric Assistant is to assist Optometrists in providing full optometric care to patients, and to aid optometrists in offering a wide range of care & services in a more efficient and effective way. Optometric Assistants may have a variety of responsibilities, or may specialize in a particular area. The daily focus is on providing clarity of vision and on keeping eyes as healthy as possible.
