Aesthetician - Shizen Spa

Job Purpose:                

  • To perform Aesthetic services as set out in Shizen Standards.
  • To provide all services in a safe, hygienic and professional manner.
  • To always work as a productive team member.

Position Qualifications:          

  • Recognized diploma in Aesthetics. 
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively.

Principle Duties:         

  • Perform Aesthetic services as set out in Shizen Menus using brand standards and expectations.
  • Be fully prepared and capable of all Aesthetic menu services.
  • Perform high quality, professional aesthetics services on each and every guest.
  • Work in a consistent manner following treatment procedures and protocol.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain products and anticipate inventory needs proactively.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and sanitation of all equipment and products.
  • Up sell and sell all treatments and products currently offered in Services and Retail.
  • Work towards goals and targets as set by Spa Supervisor/Spa Manager.
  • Perform concierge duties as required.
  • Assist with laundry and cleaning of the Spa.
  • Respect guest confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Work well collaboratively and individually.
  • Maintain complete and accurate guest records.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date industry standards, knowledge and skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all Skyline Service Culture, policies and protocols as set out.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
  • Always treat all guests, Management and other Resort Staff with respect, courtesy, efficiency and friendliness.

Inn Housekeeper - Day

JOB PURPOSE:

  • To clean rooms as efficiently and thoroughly as possible, paying close attention to detail and guest needs and requests

 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliability and punctuality are imperative
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Will be on feet for 8 hours a day 5 days per week long periods
  • You will be required to push and pull large heavy housekeeping cart and linen bins
  • You will be required to clean all levels of a hotel room and public area, including but not limited to such things as bending to clean under furniture, cleaning deep bath tubs and high showers.

UNIFORMS:

  • Black pants
  • Non skid shoes
  • Horseshoe shirt (provided)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean any early check-ins first, and late check-outs last
  • Clean the rooms that are reserved next, thus allowing the next guest to get into their rooms upon arrival
  • Lofts are to be cleaned immediately following lunch (only exception is a late check out deemed only by your supervisor)
  • Both beds upon checking out should be stripped and remade fresh, just in case the former guest used the other bed and it was made back up with the same sheets the day before
  • Do all the rooms with “Please make up signs” first
  • Once you start to clean a ‘stay’ room - never leave it unfinished (if you don’t think you can get it done prior to a break or lunch, then leave it and go onto another checkout, if you have no choice but to start the room, then you must take your break or lunch a few minutes later and finish the room)
  • Never leave a ‘stay’ door open, if you need to go for supplies or stock, lock the door before leaving the area, never close a stay door while inside the room
  • Never touch the guest belongings, if the items are all over the place try to work around them as best as possible, have your Supervisor go in with you should you need to move something off the bed to clean it (this protects you against any accusations from the guests)
  • ‘Stays’ are cleaned as well as check outs, the same routine should be followed in every room
  • If a guest has a Privacy sign on the door all day, you must go to your supervisor at the end of your shift, who will then call the guest and make arrangements, and will then inform you what to do
  • The guest will have the option of fresh sheets and towels, should they choose to have their bedding changed and it is not done as requested or if a complaint is made the cleaner shall be reprimanded, up to and perhaps including termination
  • Make sure to check the following problem areas:
    • Edging the rooms (use a rag or broom and edge the outskirts of the room before vacuuming)
    • Matching glasses (no wine glasses are to be left in the room after a guest checks out)
    • Amenity tray in the bathrooms get dirty and dusty in the bottom, clean them out weekly
    • Vents in the ceilings, use your broom the dust them clean
    • Check for food and crumbs beside and behind the bed, table, and dresser
    • Make sure curtains are hanging neatly
    • Clean along the edges of the bed base (there’s always crumbs around the edges)
    • Shower stalls get filmy and soap scum builds up around the bottom half- around the doors edge, give them a good wipe down 
    • Bugs in window tracks, suck them up with the vacuum

Registered Massage Therapist Shizen Spa at Horseshoe Resort is looking for full time and part time Registered Massage Therapists. This is a contract position.

Description:
  • To perform Massage Therapy and body work services as set out in Shizen Spa.

  • Be fully prepared and capable of all Massage Therapy and body work menu services.
  • Assess guest history, determine safety and modify treatments as required.
  • Perform high quality, professional Massage Therapy services on each and every guest.
  • Work in a consistent manner following treatment procedures and protocol.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain products and anticipate inventory needs proactively.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and sanitation of all equipment and products.
