Job Purpose:                

  • To perform Aesthetic services as set out in Shizen Standards.

Position Qualifications:          

  • Recognized diploma in Aesthetics. 
  • Strong customer service skills.

Principle Duties:         

  • Perform Aesthetic services as set out in Shizen Menus using brand standards and expectations.
  • Be fully prepared and capable of all Aesthetic menu services.
  • Perform high quality, professional aesthetics services on each and every guest.
  • Work in a consistent manner following treatment procedures and protocol.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain products and anticipate inventory needs proactively.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and sanitation of all equipment and products.
  • Up sell and sell all treatments and products currently offered in Services and Retail.
  • Work towards goals and targets as set by Spa Supervisor/Spa Manager.
  • Perform concierge duties as required.
  • Assist with laundry and cleaning of the Spa.
  • Respect guest confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Work well collaboratively and individually.
  • Maintain complete and accurate guest records.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date industry standards, knowledge and skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Front Desk Agent
JOB PURPOSE:
 
Create a ‘Wow’ experience for our Resort and public guests by providing an efficient, friendly and personalized service.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Professional attitude and appearance, is a must to be a key player in representing Horseshoe Resort.
  • Positive and passionate, conveying to our guests and callers enthusiasm in every interaction.
  • Must be creative, self starter, able to meet deadlines, work independently/part of a team and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, individual with the ability to multi task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality are imperative.
  • A uniform, name tag and is required at all times.
  • The role requires working week-ends, holidays and shifts vary from days, mid-shift and evenings.  Hours of department from 7am-11pm daily.
  • The role will rotate between front and back of the house.
  
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Quote rates to guests in person and over the phone, book reservations
  • Book reservatioins for dinner and other activities or services
  • Be knowledgeable about the Resort, all its amenities, its policies as well as the
surrounding area.
  • Be familiarized with the general rates, packages, group/special event rates.
  • Become well familiarized with general and special rates, plans, and packages
  • Ensure that all special requests or problems are routed to the appropriate areas and follow up with outcome.
  • Balance inventory of rooms and take appropriate action to rectify.
  • Perform switchboard duties; general inquiries, answer calls from rooms and other venues and follow through with requests. (i.e. call Housekeeping or Maintenance)
  • Date, sort, and file all incoming mail, messages, and packages and inform intended receipt of delivery.
  • Assign rooms for groups that require special attention (i.e. Hockey team, school trip) to better accommodate all parties involved.
  • Welcome and register guests arriving, follow policy and procedures regarding billing and standards.
  • Up sell guest on arrival or call in-house guest to upgrade room, book dinner reservation and inform them of specials to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Inform House Keeping Team of any changes in room status, room moves, request or concerns and maintain positive communication and strong sense of team work between departments.
  • Log any in-house guest issue in log book to record for next shifts and for better follow up and communication.
  • Check out guest in a timely manner and be empowered to rectify any issue upon their departure to achieve our goal of  guest loyalty and satisfaction.
§  Prepare the next days team for success(i.e. arrival packages, restock inventory of pens, vouchers, papers, etc)
§  During down/slow time input rooming lists for upcoming groups to better control room inventory.
§  Emergency Calls:  man the emergency phone lines and follow Health and Safety procedures to take action. (i.e. calling 911 and filling out supporting documentation)
§  Answer individual work email accounts as well as shared account and direct to information to appropriate departments.
§  Assist in the selling of ski passes, ski membership, fitness memberships, hummer tours and down hill mountain bike passes.
§  Work with Health & Safety Committee to fully comply with their requests
  • Fully understand, support, and follow the general rules as well as all Health & Safety procedures as outlined in the Horseshoe Resort Health & Safety Policy

Inn Housekeeper - Day

JOB PURPOSE:

  • To clean rooms as efficiently and thoroughly as possible, paying close attention to detail and guest needs and requests

 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliability and punctuality are imperative
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Will be on feet for 8 hours a day 5 days per week long periods
  • You will be required to push and pull large heavy housekeeping cart and linen bins
  • You will be required to clean all levels of a hotel room and public area, including but not limited to such things as bending to clean under furniture, cleaning deep bath tubs and high showers.

UNIFORMS:

  • Black pants
  • Non skid shoes
  • Horseshoe shirt (provided)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean any early check-ins first, and late check-outs last
  • Clean the rooms that are reserved next, thus allowing the next guest to get into their rooms upon arrival
  • Lofts are to be cleaned immediately following lunch (only exception is a late check out deemed only by your supervisor)
  • Both beds upon checking out should be stripped and remade fresh, just in case the former guest used the other bed and it was made back up with the same sheets the day before
  • Do all the rooms with “Please make up signs” first
  • Once you start to clean a ‘stay’ room - never leave it unfinished (if you don’t think you can get it done prior to a break or lunch, then leave it and go onto another checkout, if you have no choice but to start the room, then you must take your break or lunch a few minutes later and finish the room)
  • Never leave a ‘stay’ door open, if you need to go for supplies or stock, lock the door before leaving the area, never close a stay door while inside the room
  • Never touch the guest belongings, if the items are all over the place try to work around them as best as possible, have your Supervisor go in with you should you need to move something off the bed to clean it (this protects you against any accusations from the guests)
  • ‘Stays’ are cleaned as well as check outs, the same routine should be followed in every room
  • If a guest has a Privacy sign on the door all day, you must go to your supervisor at the end of your shift, who will then call the guest and make arrangements, and will then inform you what to do
  • The guest will have the option of fresh sheets and towels, should they choose to have their bedding changed and it is not done as requested or if a complaint is made the cleaner shall be reprimanded, up to and perhaps including termination
  • Make sure to check the following problem areas:
    • Edging the rooms (use a rag or broom and edge the outskirts of the room before vacuuming)
    • Matching glasses (no wine glasses are to be left in the room after a guest checks out)
    • Amenity tray in the bathrooms get dirty and dusty in the bottom, clean them out weekly
    • Vents in the ceilings, use your broom the dust them clean
    • Check for food and crumbs beside and behind the bed, table, and dresser
    • Make sure curtains are hanging neatly
    • Clean along the edges of the bed base (there’s always crumbs around the edges)
    • Shower stalls get filmy and soap scum builds up around the bottom half- around the doors edge, give them a good wipe down 
    • Bugs in window tracks, suck them up with the vacuum

Sales Manager, Group Recreation

JOB PURPOSE:

To solicit day and overnight groups to Horseshoe Resort on a year round basis with an educational focus targeting the local schools and those within a four hour radius of the Horseshoe Resort.  Deliver excellence in Outdoor Education through partnerships with schools in order to prepare young people for the personal, social and environmental challenges in their lives.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be creative and a self starter, able to meet deadlines, work independently and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have strong motivation to learn all resort recreation activities & guidelines.
  • Minimum 1 year of Sales experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented individual with the ability to multi task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and close business contracts
  • Must be a team player; be passionate and positive in everything you do; be respectful to internal and external stakeholders; believe and support empowerment at all levels within the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively promote, sell and coordinate all of Horseshoe Resorts educational programs (including Ski education groups and Adventure/Activity groups) In conjunction with Horseshoe Executives, develop spring/summer/fall adventure based, outdoor experiential learning programs to suit school educational parameters.  Spring/summer programs ready to go in January and ski/winter programs ready for sale in August.
  • Create and maintain school listings and social group contact information for solicitation
  • Maintain booking calendar for school groups with rental counts and share with respective departments on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy and availability
  • Work closely with ski school, rentals, guest services to ensure accuracy of booking availability of days & equipment.
  • Conduct outside sales calls targeting regional school boards as well as individual schools to secure day and overnight trips to the resort.
  • Host key decision makers to the resort to showcase Horseshoe Resorts products and services.
  • Achieve weekly sales activity goals that include but are not limited to; face to face, and telephone sales calls, email blitz’s, site inspections and clients entertainment in the resorts outlets
  • Effectively solicit all schools (public, private and independent) for additional products offered at the resort; adventure park, accommodations, meal programs, additional activities.
  • Process all school/church/social bookings (enter data into Delphi BRTP, prepare confirmation letters and packages)
  • Work with Marketing Department and EDOSM on creating and implementing different sales blitz material and promotional offerings to schools
  • Conduct research and make recommendations for new outdoor student activities and programs – Comp set.
  • Act on direct leads/FFP’s ensuring a timely and thorough follow up
  • Plan and implement quarterly sales actions and measurements against goals
  • Participate in client promotions and functions relating to Sales Dept.
